...FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR THE ASPEN ACRES BURN SCAR REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding and debris flows caused by excessive rainfall
continue to be possible over the Aspen Acres Burn Scar.

* WHERE...The Aspen Acres Burn Scar.

* WHEN...Until 11 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Heavy rainfall over the Aspen Acres Burn Scar is expected
up to and during the period of the watch. Residents near the Aspen
Acres burn scar should prepare for potential debris flow. Be sure
to stay up to date with information from local authorities. Heavy
rainfall could trigger flash flooding of low-lying areas, urbanized
street flooding, and debris flows in and near recent wildfire burn
scars.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- National Weather Service Meteorologists are forecasting the
potential for heavy rainfall over the burn scar, which may lead
to flash flooding and debris flows.
- Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
Beulah, San Isabel, and highways 165 and 78 in and around Aspen
Acres Burn Scar.

* WHAT...Temperatures climbing to between 95 and 102 degrees in the
afternoon.

* WHERE...Eastern Fremont, El Paso and Pueblo Counties including
Pueblo, Colorado Springs and Canon City.

* WHEN...From noon to 8 PM MDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures, especially in urban areas, may cause
heat illnesses.

Information:
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
