* WHAT...For the Extreme Cold Watch, dangerously cold wind chills as
low as 15 possible. For the Freeze Watch, sub-freezing
temperatures as low as 15 possible.

* WHERE...Coastal Franklin, Coastal Wakulla, Inland Franklin, Inland
Wakulla, Leon, Southern Liberty, Coastal Gulf, and Inland Gulf
Counties.

* WHEN...From Monday evening through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. Frost and freeze conditions
could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage
unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Information:
Wear protective clothing such as a hat, facemask and heavy gloves or
mittens if you have plans to be outdoors.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes
they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those
that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover
above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
