Fox River at Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater affecting Lake IL, Kane and McHenry Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Fox River from Johnsburg downstream to Red Gate Road in St. Charles, including the Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater gauge. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 11.5 feet, Residences threatened along Oceola Drive in Algonquin. A few residences threatened along McBride Street in Elgin. Jayne Street and Beach Drive threatened in Algonquin. River Street threatened in East Dundee. Jerusha Avenue threatened in Elgin. Fox River Trail threatened between East Dundee and Elgin. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 11.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The river has been falling slowly over the last few days. - Forecast...The river is expected to continue a slow fall over the next several days. - Flood stage is 9.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
