Joseph and Berrien Counties.

North Branch Elkhart River at Cosperville affecting Noble County.

.Recent rainfall across the Saint Joseph River basin will result in
minor river flooding.

For the Saint Joseph River Michigan...including South Bend...Minor
flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Saint Joseph River Michigan at South Bend.

* WHEN...From Friday morning to Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 5.5 feet, The river reaches flood stage with the
lowest residential areas beginning to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:15 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 4.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow morning to a crest of 5.7 feet tomorrow evening. It
will then fall below flood stage Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 5.5 feet.

For the Elkhart River...including Goshen...Minor flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Elkhart River at Goshen.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, The river reaches flood stage. Goshen,
Shanklin, and Rogers Park in Goshen begin to flood. Island,
Studebaker, and American Parks in Elkhart begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 6.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this morning to a crest of 7.5 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday
morning.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
