...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL TUESDAY AFTERNOON... ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana...Illinois... Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. Wabash River at Montezuma. Wabash River at Terre Haute. Wabash River at Riverton. .Heavy rainfall of upwards of six inches since Saturday night in the Wabash basin is bringing minor flooding to portions of the Wabash River. Lowland minor flooding is expected from Montezuma through Riverton. The Wabash is expected to crest at Montezuma on Friday afternoon. Downstream at Riverton, minor flooding is expected to continue well into next week. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma. * WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Montezuma agricultural levee is overtopped. Fourteen hundred acres of low bottomlands flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 15.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:45 PM EDT Wednesday was 15.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.0 feet early Friday afternoon.
