At 1020 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 6 miles north of Hutchinson, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and two inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near... Hutchinson around 1025 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Hutchinson Airport.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CDT THURSDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Kansas, including the following counties, McPherson and Rice. * WHEN...Until 600 AM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 902 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mcpherson, Lyons, Moundridge, Inman, Galva, Little River, Windom and Mcpherson Airport.
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
