Chariton River near Prairie Hill affecting Macon and Chariton Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Chariton River near Prairie Hill. * WHEN...From Thursday morning to Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Fields along the river begin to flood. At 19.0 feet, Farmland and secondary roads in the Chariton River floodplain are under water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 8.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow morning to a crest of 17.0 feet tomorrow evening. Adair County in northeastern Missouri... * WHEN...Until 1230 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1017 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
