...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM MDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Periods of heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations
between 7 and 14 inches, greatest over the higher hills. Winds
could gust as high as 30 mph.

* WHERE...Northern Big Horn, Southern Big Horn, and Treasure.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM MDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult at times. The hazardous
conditions will impact the Thursday evening and Friday commutes.
Conditions may threaten young livestock.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will begin to develop over the area this
evening, increasing overnight into Friday. Periods of snow will
continue through Saturday night.

* WHAT...West winds with gusts of 50 to 70 mph expected. Locally
higher gusts are possible.

* WHERE...In Montana, Bighorn Canyon, Red Lodge Foothills, and
Southern Big Horn. In Wyoming, Sheridan Foothills.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Extreme wind gusts could blow down trees and power lines.
Power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult for high
profile vehicles.

Information: 
People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around
or damaged by the wind.

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
if you must drive.
