...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO MIDNIGHT MDT WEDNESDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches on foothills, between 4 and 8 inches on mountain passes. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph. * WHERE...Elkhorn and Boulder Mountains and Upper Blackfoot and MacDonald Pass. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to midnight MDT Wednesday Night. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult and tire chains may be required for some vehicles. Those in the backcountry should ensure they have appropriate knowledge and gear and may want to consider alternate plans. Periods of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The combination of wet snow and strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines.
