For the Extreme Cold Warning above 3500 feet, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 18 below expected. * WHERE...Haywood, Madison, Mitchell, Northern Jackson, Swain, and Yancey Counties. * WHEN...For the first Cold Weather Advisory, until 10 AM EST this morning. For the Extreme Cold Warning and second Cold Weather Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to noon EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
