Details:
...PATCHY DENSE FOG DEVELOPING ACROSS PORTIONS OF WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA...

Patchy dense fog, reducing visibility to around 1/4 mile has
developed across portions of the North Carolina Piedmont and
foothills. Motorists traveling across the area this morning,
including along I-85 and I-77 through Charlotte metro and
vicinity, should be prepared for sudden deterioration in
visibility. The poor visibility combined with lingering sleet and
ice will make driving conditions especially hazardous. Slow down,
lose low beam headlights, and allow for plenty of space between
yourself and other vehicles. Much of the fog is expected to
dissipate around sunrise.
