...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed snow and sleet. Freezing light rain possible mainly
along the south shore of Long Island and the twin forks area of
Long Island. Freezing light rain or drizzle will however be
possible across the entire area late tonight. Additional snow and
sleet accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations up to one
tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow showers will still be possible through
Monday morning with little potential additional accumulation.
Hazardous road conditions are anticipated regardless.

Information:
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. Check local Department of
Transportation information services for the latest road conditions.

...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING AND BEACH EROSION POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level
expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.

* WHERE...In Connecticut, Southern Fairfield County. In New
York, Southern Westchester, Bronx, Northwest Suffolk,
Northeast Suffolk, Southeast Suffolk, Northern Queens and
Northern Nassau Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 AM EST Monday through late tonight.

* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Brief minor flooding of the most
vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline.

* SHORELINE IMPACTS...Breaking waves 3 to 5 feet along north to
northeast facing shorelines along western Long Island Sound and
Gardiners Bay could locally exacerbate flooding of shoreline
roads and adjacent properties, with minor beach erosion also
possible.
