FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM CDT TUESDAY FOR SOUTHEASTERN KINGFISHER, NORTHERN LINCOLN, SOUTHERN LOGAN AND SOUTHERN PAYNE COUNTIES


A FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect for this area until 1:15 AM CDT. This is a dangerous and life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM CDT TUESDAY FOR SOUTHEASTERN KINGFISHER, NORTHERN LINCOLN, SOUTHERN LOGAN AND SOUTHERN PAYNE COUNTIES...

At 1041 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 3
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Guthrie, Cushing, Perkins, Stroud, Langston, Yale, Okarche,
Cashion, Carney, Tryon, Ripley, Agra, Coyle, Cedar Valley,
Cimarron City, Kendrick, Meridian, Avery, Quay and Parkland.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Stillwater, Watonga, Kingfisher, Crescent, Thomas, Glencoe, Dover,
Custer City, Mulhall, Cimarron City, Orlando, Greenfield, Loyal,
Lovell, Lake Carl Blackwell, Lake Mcmurtry, Fay and Omega.

Heavy rain will continue in and around Kingfisher and will move into
the Stillwater area.
