* WHAT...South winds 25 to 35 kt with higher gusts and seas 9 to
14 feet possible.

* WHERE...Kaiwi Channel, Maui County Windward Waters, Maui
County Leeward Waters and Alenuihaha Channel.

* WHEN...From Saturday morning through Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

Information:
A Gale Watch is issued when the risk of gale force winds of 34 to
47 knots has significantly increased but the specific timing
and/or location is still uncertain. It is intended to provide
additional lead time for mariners who may wish to consider
altering their plans.

Details:
Widespread showers with embedded thunderstorms will continue to
produce frequent gusts over 25 knots and locally heavy downpours
across the Hawaiian coastal waters today. Short-lived waterspouts
will also be possible. Mariners should pay attention to rapidly
changing weather conditions and possible marine warnings.
