* WHAT...Northwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 70 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, south central, and
southeast South Dakota.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down tree branches. Scattered
power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially
for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...From 2pm through 7pm, scattered stronger wind
gusts will be possible mostly due to the developing showers. A
more widespread threat of stronger gusts is still expected to be
predominantly overnight.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Iowa, Lyon, Osceola, Dickinson, Sioux,
O'Brien, Clay, Plymouth, Cherokee, Buena Vista, Woodbury and
Ida. In Nebraska, Dixon and Dakota. In South Dakota, Beadle,
Gregory, Jerauld, Sanborn, Miner, Lake, Brule, Aurora,
Davison, Hanson, McCook, Minnehaha, Charles Mix, Douglas,
Hutchinson, Turner, Lincoln, Bon Homme, Yankton, Clay and
Union.

* WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 24 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread

* WHEN...From Saturday evening through late Sunday night.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/2 mile due to falling
and/or blowing snow at times. Travel could be very difficult.
Whiteout conditions may make travel extremely dangerous or
impossible. Strong winds could cause tree damage.
