...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 AM CDT FOR ARMSTRONG...EASTERN RANDALL...CARSON...SOUTHWESTERN GRAY... SOUTHEASTERN POTTER AND WESTERN DONLEY COUNTIES... At 109 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles northwest of Panhandle to 6 miles east of Wayside, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect some tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Locations impacted include... Amarillo, Panhandle, Claude, White Deer, Groom, Wayside, Kingsmill, Washburn, Palo Duro Canyon, Goodnight, and Pantex.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of the Panhandle of Texas, including the following counties, Armstrong, Carson, Potter and Randall. * WHEN...Until 345 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1244 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
