...EXTREME COLD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 5 to 10.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Texas.

* WHEN...Until noon CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. Hard freeze conditions with an
extended period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured
water pipes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Though roads are mostly dry, any remaining
wet spots will freeze overnight, warranting caution when driving.

Information:
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

To prevent water pipes from freezing; insulate, wrap, or drain them.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
