* WHAT...For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as
15 expected. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind
chills as low as 15 expected.

* WHERE...Brooks, Coastal Kenedy, Inland Kenedy, Inland Willacy, Jim
Hogg, and Northern Hidalgo Counties.

* WHEN...For the Freeze Warning, from 9 PM this evening to 10 AM CST
Monday. For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 3 AM to 8 AM CST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. Death is possible to unprepared
people and pets. An extended period of freezing temperatures could
cause ruptured water pipes. Take steps now to finish protecting
cold sensitive plants and crops. Frost and freeze conditions could
damage crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage
unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Information:
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside. Death is possible to people exposed to the extreme cold.

Rush to completion prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain
or allow them to drip slowly.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Prepare to dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if
you must go outside. Death is possible to people exposed to the
extreme cold.
