* WHAT...Mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations less
than one inch and ice accumulations around a light glaze.
Treacherous conditions due to earlier snow, sleet, and freezing
rain. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest North Carolina and
central, south central, southwest, and west central Virginia.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Monday morning commute. Gusty winds
could bring down tree branches.

...EXTREME COLD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 16 below possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest North Carolina, central, south
central, southwest, and west central Virginia, and southeast West
Virginia.

* WHEN...From Monday evening through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could
result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.
Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
exposed to these temperatures.

Information:
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
