...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT... * WHAT...West winds 35 to 55 mph with gusts up to 85 mph expected. * WHERE...Wind River Mountains East and Absaroka Mountains. * WHEN...Until midnight MDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles traveling Highway 28 (South Pass) or Highway 296 (Chief Joseph Pass). * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Moderate snowfall occurs Thursday, with the heaviest period being Thursday afternoon into early Thursday evening. Snow rates near 1 inch an hour are possible. Total snow accumulations 7 to 12 inches over the western Absaroka Range, with the strongest winds occurring on the eastern slopes.
