...EXTREME HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 8 PM CDT TUESDAY... ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...For the first Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot
conditions with heat index values up to 110 expected. For the
second Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with heat
index values up to 112 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Arkansas and east
central, northeast, and southeast Oklahoma.

* WHEN...For the first Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM CDT this
evening. For the second Extreme Heat Warning, from noon to 8 PM CDT
Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.

Information:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
