...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding along Irondequoit Creek caused by
heavy rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of western New York, including the following
county, Monroe.

* WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Water levels will continue to rise along Irondequoit
Creek tonight due to runoff from heavy rainfall. Water levels will
remain high through at least Sunday morning. Minor flooding is
likely in Ellison Park, and water may approach Blossom Road where
it passes through the park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 757 PM EDT, Irondequoit Creek had risen to 8.2 feet. Gauge
reports indicated between 0.75 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
warned area.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Rochester, Irondequoit, East Rochester and Brighton.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
