...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM MDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...Periods of snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 7 and 14 inches, greatest over the higher hills. Locally higher totals are possible. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph early this evening, decreasing overnight. * WHERE...Portions of central and south central Montana. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM MDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult at times. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday commutes. Conditions may threaten young livestock. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will begin to develop over the area this evening, but accumulations will be limited and roads generally wet to slushy through Friday. Heavier snow is expected Friday night through Saturday evening with roads conditions deteriorating.
