...HIGH SURF ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CHST THURSDAY... ...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 6 to 8 feet, increasing to 7 to
10 feet Tuesday. Dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...North and west facing reefs of the Marianas.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM ChST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Surf along north and west facing reefs
decreases below hazardous levels tonight, but another pulse of
north to northwest swell arrives early Tuesday morning, allowing
surf to increase back up to hazardous levels of 9 feet. Surf
along west facing reefs may decrease below hazardous levels
Tuesday night or Wednesday, but hazardous surf along north
facing reefs is expected to continue through late Wednesday
night.

Information:
Rip currents will be life threatening. Inexperienced swimmers
should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.

Rip currents will be life threatening. If caught in a rip
current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If
able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to
escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
