...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM MDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Periods of heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations
between 7 and 14 inches, greatest over the higher hills. Locally
higher totals are possible. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph early
this evening, decreasing overnight.

* WHERE...Portions of central and south central Montana.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM MDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible at times.
The hazardous conditions will impact the Thursday evening and
Friday commutes. Conditions may threaten young livestock.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will begin to develop over the area this
evening, increasing overnight into Friday. Periods of snow will
continue through Saturday night.
