...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING TO MONDAY EVENING... ...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...Indiana... Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. Wabash River at Terre Haute. Wabash River at Riverton. .Heavy rainfall of upwards of six inches since Saturday night in the Wabash basin is bringing minor flooding to portions of the Wabash River. Lowland minor flooding is expected from Montezuma through Riverton. The Wabash is expected to crest at Montezuma on Friday afternoon. Downstream at Riverton, minor flooding is expected to continue well into next week. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Terre Haute. * WHEN...From Thursday morning to Monday evening. * IMPACTS...At 17.5 feet, A few sloughs and a drainage have water in them in the vicinity of SR 63 on the west side of the Wabash River. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:30 PM EDT Wednesday /11:30 AM CDT Wednesday/ the stage was 15.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 17.7 feet Friday evening.
