...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MONDAY AFTERNOON... ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... White River at Edwardsport. White River at Elliston. White River at Hazleton. White River at Petersburg. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana...Illinois... Wabash River at Mount Carmel. .Minor to moderate flooding continues on the White River and minor flooding continues on the lower Wabash at Mount Carmel. Additional rainfall of half an inch to 1.25 inches from this morning through Friday morning was included in the forecast. The initial crest on the White is at Petersburg, but an additional lower crest is expected to start working its way down the river Thursday and bring minor flooding back to Elliston by Thursday evening. The crest on the Wabash should reach Mount Carmel on Sunday. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...White River at Edwardsport. * WHEN...Until Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Old Vincennes Road and State Road 358 in Daviess County and Schaefer Road in Knox County are impassable. High water affects agricultural bottomlands. During agricultural season this level is of concern to farmers on the unprotected areas along the river. High water affects river cabins. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 AM EDT Thursday /6:00 AM CDT Thursday/ the stage was 17.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:00 AM EDT Thursday /6:00 AM CDT Thursday/ was 18.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.0 feet just after midnight tonight.
