...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

White River at Edwardsport.

White River at Elliston.

White River at Hazleton.

White River at Petersburg.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...Illinois...

Wabash River at Mount Carmel.

.Minor to moderate flooding continues on the White River and minor
flooding continues on the lower Wabash at Mount Carmel. Additional
rainfall of half an inch to 1.25 inches from this morning through
Friday morning was included in the forecast. The initial crest on
the White is at Petersburg, but an additional lower crest is
expected to start working its way down the river Thursday and bring
minor flooding back to Elliston by Thursday evening. The crest on
the Wabash should reach Mount Carmel on Sunday.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Petersburg.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, A very significant flood is in progress.
Emergency flood fighting may be needed. Evacuations would begin
from river cabins in Dodge City. Livestock must be moved.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM EDT Thursday /10:30 AM CDT Thursday/ the stage
was 24.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:30 AM EDT Thursday /10:30 AM CDT Thursday/ was
24.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall and remain below
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
