...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE FRIDAY MORNING... ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Salt Creek near Ada affecting Ottawa County. Solomon River near Niles affecting Ottawa, Saline and Dickinson Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Solomon River near Niles. * WHEN...Until late Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water begins to overflow into the low portion of a cultivated field on the right bank, upstream, adjacent to the gage site. At 23.0 feet, Rural overflow begins around the community of Niles. At 24.0 feet, Low land flooding continues along the river. At 27.0 feet, Arrowhead Road west of Niles floods. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 26.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow night and continue falling to 13.3 feet Monday evening. - Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
