...DENSE FOG ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT THIS MORNING... ...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 PM EDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, dense fog will reduce
visibility to less than one nautical mile. For the Gale Warning,
southeast becoming west winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35
kt and waves 6 to 11 ft expected.

* WHERE...Lake Superior from Upper Entrance to Portage Canal to
Manitou Island MI 5NM off shore to the US/Canadian Border.

* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 8 AM EDT this
morning. For the Gale Warning, from 5 PM this afternoon to 5
PM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Low visibility
will make navigation difficult.

Information:
Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.

If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog
signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use
