Big Black River Near Bentonia affecting Yazoo and Madison Counties. Big Black River Near Bovina affecting Warren and Hinds Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Big Black River near Bovina. * WHEN...Until early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 32.0 feet, Several access roads along and near the river are under water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 27.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 31.0 feet Friday morning. - Flood stage is 28.0 feet.
Information:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
