Details:
...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR CRITICALLY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, STRONG WINDS, AND DRY FUELS FOR THE SACRAMENTO AND CAPITAN MOUNTAINS...

...CRITICAL TO EXTREMELY CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS SUNDAY
FOR SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL NEW MEXICO, AND WEST TEXAS...

.A Pacific storm system, passing though the southwest and over
the Four Corners region will keep our area dry, and increase the
winds later this morning. This will elevate fire danger to
critical to extremely critical across Southwest and South Central
New Mexico, as well as Far West Texas. Wind gusts, from the
southwest, will increase up to 60 mph or greater this afternoon.
Minimum relative humidity will range from 10-15 percent lowlands
to 15-20 percent mountains. Widespread tree mortality and die
back fuels will increase the wildfire risk as ERCs climb to 85-90
percentile.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 113 Capitan and Sacramento
Mountains/Lincoln NF/LNZ.

* TIMING...winds increasing after 10 am, and peaking in middle
to late afternoon.

* WINDS...Southwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Up to 76.

* EXPERIMENTAL RFTI...5 to 7, Critical to Extremely Critical.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended

Information:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
