...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM EARLY THIS MORNING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in New
York...

Black River At Watertown affecting Jefferson and Lewis Counties.

For the Black River...including Boonville, Watertown...Minor
flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Black River at Watertown.

* WHEN...From early this morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Flood stage, farmland flooding begins in
the Flats with some roads flooded. Minor damages to riverfront
commercial properties in Dexter.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:30 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 9.27 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early this morning and continue rising to a crest of 11.4
feet this afternoon. It will then rise to 11.5 feet Saturday
morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
- Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
11.5 feet on 03/19/1990.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
