...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 feet for Yap and Palau. * WHERE...North facing reefs of Yap and Palau. * WHEN...Until 5 PM ChST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A large north swell from a shear line north of 10N will maintain hazardous surf along north facing reefs. Seas will remain elevated, maintaining hazardous surf through this afternoon.
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
