...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CHST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 10 feet. * WHERE...North facing reefs of Palau and Yap. * WHEN...Until 5 PM ChST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Elevated north to northeast swell, reinforced by a shear line and the remnants of Tropical Depression Nuri north of Yap, remains capable of producing hazardous surf of 8 to 10 feet along north facing reefs. Surf will build further by Sunday, likely reaching at least 12 feet.
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
