...EXTREME COLD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON EST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 16 below expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest North Carolina, southwest Virginia,
and southeast West Virginia.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could
result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...In addition to the cold, continue to use
extra caution if traveling. The persistent cold has not allowed
for ice to melt off of untreated roads.

Information: 
If you must go outside, dress in layers including a hat, face mask,
and gloves, and slow down if driving.
