...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE FRIDAY MORNING...

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas...

Solomon River near Niles affecting Ottawa, Saline and Dickinson
Counties.

Salt Creek near Ada affecting Ottawa County.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Solomon River near Niles.

* WHEN...Until late Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water begins to overflow into the low
portion of a cultivated field on the right bank, upstream,
adjacent to the gage site.
At 23.0 feet, Rural overflow begins around the community of Niles.
At 24.0 feet, Low land flooding continues along the river.
At 27.0 feet, Arrowhead Road west of Niles floods.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 26.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.5
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage late tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 24.0 feet.

Information:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
